WHAT ARE CHEMICAL PEELS?
Chemical peels are comprised of medicated solutions of varying strengths that are applied to
the skin in layers. The strength and type of peel recommended by our medical team often
depends on the patient’s unique skincare needs. After the medicated solution is applied to the
face, it is left to sit for a short amount of time and absorb into the skin. The peel is then
neutralized, and depending on the strength of the peel, the outermost layers of skin flake and
peel off over a matter of days to reveal the fresh, undamaged layers underneath.
Illuminize Peel
Also known as the Party Peel or Bridal Peel. One of the most important features of the Illuminize Peel from SkinMedica is you get the benefits of a chemical peel without the long downtime or irritation. This is especially important if you have an upcoming event at which you want to look your best. Your skin will look rejuvenated and glowing.
Vitalize Peel
The Vitalize Peel from SkinMedica combines advanced peeling agents and anti-irritants in a unique blend to provide a strong, but gentle treatment that is appropriate for all skin types. It has been clinically proven to help reduce the visible signs of aging and is a healthy start to your skincare regimen. After your Vitalize Peel® you will notice an improvement in your skin’s texture and tone, lessening of fine lines, a healthier, more youthful appearance.
Rejuvenize Peel
The Rejuvenize Peel from SkinMedica is an advanced formulation of peeling agents with a built-in anti-irritant and penetration enhancer that provides controlled exfoliation of the uppermost damaged layers of the skin to reveal fresher and healthier skin. It is a deeper and stronger peel than the Vitalize Peel®. It can show improvement with difficult to treat Melasma (deep dermal pigmentation). We recommend receiving a consultation before scheduling this strong, effective treatment.
